How Complete Shopify Store Setup Works
A complete Shopify store needs more than an attractive theme. It requires clear products, accurate information, suitable navigation, useful pages, working payments and a buying journey that customers can understand.
Building the store properly takes time. I do not treat a complete Shopify setup as something that should be rushed and delivered within two or three days.
I work with you directly through WhatsApp. There is no account manager or separate agency team handling the project.
What happens after you place the order?
Once your order is confirmed:
-
I normally contact you on WhatsApp within 2–3 business days.
-
I send you the information, asset and access requirements.
-
The first 3–4 business days are generally used to gather and review the basic inputs.
-
I confirm the store direction and scope before beginning the complete build.
-
The main project timeline starts after the essential inputs and access are available.
You can message me directly on WhatsApp whenever needed, and I will respond when I am online.
Communication timing affects delivery. If I request information in the morning and receive it late at night, I may review it during the next working period. If several inputs arrive separately across different days, the project may take longer.
What I may need from you
Your store can only be as accurate as the information you provide. Before or during the project, I may need:
-
Business and brand name
-
Logo, colors, fonts and brand guidelines
-
Product titles and descriptions
-
Product prices, variants and inventory information
-
Product images and videos
-
Collection or category structure
-
Shipping areas, charges and estimated delivery times
-
Return, refund and cancellation policies
-
Contact details and business information
-
Required homepage sections
-
Examples of stores or styles you like
-
Domain information
-
Preferred payment methods
-
Apps or integrations you want to use
If your product details are incomplete, I may need to pause that part of the build until accurate information is supplied. I should not guess important product specifications, policies, prices or business claims.
What access is required?
I will generally require Shopify collaborator access or access to the development store being built.
Depending on the scope, I may need permission for:
-
Products and collections
-
Themes and the Online Store
-
Pages, navigation and files
-
Discounts
-
Apps and sales channels
-
Store settings required for the build
You should never send me your Shopify password, email password, banking information or verification codes.
Some activities must remain under your control. You may need to personally complete:
-
Shopify plan payment
-
App subscription approval
-
Payment-gateway verification
-
Bank-account connection
-
Business KYC
-
Domain verification
-
One-time passwords and two-factor authentication
I can guide you through these steps on WhatsApp, but the store, domain, billing and payment accounts should remain owned by you.
How the store is built
The exact process depends on the products and scope, but a complete setup normally includes these stages:
-
Understanding the business: I review your products, customers, goals and reference material.
-
Planning the structure: I decide how the homepage, collections, product pages, menus and supporting pages should connect.
-
Building the store: I create the agreed pages, navigation, theme sections and buying journey.
-
Adding products and content: I organize the information and assets included in the agreed scope.
-
Configuring essential systems: I set up suitable shipping, payment, policies, apps or integrations where included.
-
Testing and review: I check the store across desktop and mobile and ask you to review the important information.
-
Launch and handoff: Once the required checks and approvals are complete, the store is prepared for launch.
How long does the service take?
A complete Shopify store setup will generally take approximately 15–30 working days after I receive the essential information, assets and access.
The timeline can increase when:
-
There are many products or variants.
-
Product information or images are incomplete.
-
Custom sections or additional integrations are required.
-
Paid apps need to be selected or approved.
-
Domain or payment verification is delayed.
-
Feedback is received slowly or in separate parts.
-
The agreed scope changes during the project.
I do not promise immediate completion after the order is placed. Taking time at the beginning helps prevent avoidable mistakes later.
What you receive
At the end of the agreed project, you receive:
-
A working Shopify store
-
The agreed pages and store structure
-
Organized navigation and collections
-
A customer buying journey
-
Mobile and desktop checks
-
A summary or handoff of the completed work
The quality and speed of the project depend on both sides. I provide the planning and execution, while you provide accurate information, access, assets and timely approvals.
Our direct WhatsApp communication keeps the process straightforward, but the work itself remains careful, structured and unhurried.
