Shopify CRO: Working Together - The Solid Guide

Shopify CRO: Working Together - The Solid Guide

How Shopify Conversion Rate Optimization Works

Shopify Conversion Rate Optimization is about understanding why visitors are not completing their purchases and improving the parts of the store that may be creating confusion, hesitation or unnecessary effort.

This is not a service that should be completed in two or three rushed days. Before changing anything, I need time to understand your store, products, customers, traffic and current performance.

I work with you directly. There is no account manager or team between us.

What happens after you place the order?

After your order is confirmed:

  • I normally contact you on WhatsApp within 2–3 business days.

  • I send you a simple list of the information and access I need.

  • I spend approximately 3–4 business days collecting and reviewing the basic information.

  • I begin the detailed review after the required information and access are available.

You can contact me directly on WhatsApp throughout the project. You may send a message whenever needed, and I will respond when I am online.

WhatsApp makes communication easier, but it does not mean every message can be reviewed immediately. For example, if I send a question in the morning and receive the information at night, I may only be able to review it during the next working period. This can move the project timeline forward.

What I may need from you

The exact requirements depend on your store and the work included in your order. I may ask for:

  • Your Shopify store URL

  • Shopify collaborator access

  • Access to Shopify analytics and relevant reports

  • Google Analytics access, if available

  • Microsoft Clarity access, if installed

  • Your primary products, customers and business goals

  • Information about current advertising and traffic

  • Known problems or customer complaints

  • Your shipping, returns and payment information

  • Any previous store audits or performance reports

I will only request access that is reasonably required for the agreed work. You should not send me your Shopify password, email password, payment details or one-time verification codes. Wherever possible, you should invite me through the platform’s official user or collaborator system.

How I review the store

I look at the store as a customer would, while also considering the available performance information.

Depending on the agreed scope, I may review:

  • Homepage clarity and navigation

  • Collection and search experience

  • Product-page information and trust

  • Mobile shopping experience

  • Cart and checkout journey

  • Offers, discounts and shipping communication

  • Store speed and usability

  • Tracking or measurement problems

  • Areas where shoppers may be leaving

  • Differences between traffic and completed purchases

I do not change everything simply because it can be changed. I identify the strongest problems, decide what deserves attention first and work within the scope you purchased.

How long does the service take?

A normal initial CRO project may take approximately 10–20 working days after I receive the required access and information.

The timeline may be longer when:

  • The store contains many products or templates.

  • Important analytics or tracking is missing.

  • Additional implementation is included.

  • Changes require your approval.

  • Another developer, designer or app provider is involved.

  • We need time to observe performance after changes.

  • Information or access is supplied gradually.

Conversion optimization is not always a one-time event. Some problems can be identified and improved during the initial project, while reliable measurement and further iteration may require additional time.

The estimated timeline begins after the essential inputs and access have been received—not simply from the date the order was placed.

What you receive

Depending on the purchased scope, you receive:

  • Clear findings from the store review

  • Prioritized conversion opportunities

  • Recommended changes

  • Agreed CRO improvements

  • A summary of the work completed

  • Important observations for future improvement

I cannot guarantee a particular conversion rate or revenue increase. Results are also affected by product demand, pricing, traffic quality, competition, inventory and the strength of the offer.

My responsibility is to understand the available evidence, improve suitable problems carefully and explain the work clearly.

A careful process produces better decisions

I do not rush CRO work to create the appearance of fast delivery. I take time to understand what is happening before recommending or implementing changes.

The faster you provide complete information, access and approvals, the more smoothly the project can move. Our direct WhatsApp communication keeps the process personal and simple while allowing enough time for thoughtful work.
