Shopify Tracking + Profit Dashboard - The Solid Guide

Shopify Tracking + Profit Dashboard - The Solid Guide

A Shopify store can produce information across several platforms. Shopify reports orders, Google Analytics measures website activity, advertising platforms track campaigns, and different apps may record costs or profit.

The problem is that these numbers do not always agree. An event may be missing, a purchase may be counted twice, or advertising costs may not be included in the profit calculation.

My Shopify Tracking + Profit Dashboard service helps create a clearer reporting foundation. I configure the agreed tracking systems and build a dashboard that makes important performance information easier to understand.

This is a careful setup process. It is not something I complete immediately after an order is placed.

What happens after you order?

After receiving your order, I normally contact you within 2–3 business days through WhatsApp. You may message me at any time, and I will reply directly whenever I am online.

The first 3–4 business days are generally used to collect and review the basic information. This may include:

  • Your Shopify store details

  • The advertising platforms you use

  • Your existing analytics setup

  • The products you want to track

  • Your product and operating costs

  • Your preferred reporting currency

  • The numbers you want to see in the dashboard

I use this information to understand what is currently connected, what may be missing and what the dashboard should calculate.

Please do not expect the complete service to be delivered within 2–3 days of ordering. That initial period is for communication, access and preparation—not completion.

What access will I need?

The exact access depends on the systems your business uses. In most cases, I may need simple role-based access to:

  • Your Shopify store

  • Google Analytics 4

  • Google Tag Manager

  • Google Ads or Merchant Center

  • Meta Ads Manager or Events Manager

  • Your existing reporting or profit application

You should invite me through the official user or collaborator system whenever possible. I will never need your banking password, card information, one-time passwords or personal email password.

I may also need cost information such as:

  • Product cost or cost of goods

  • Packaging costs

  • Shipping and fulfilment costs

  • Payment processing charges

  • Advertising spend

  • Return, refund or cash-on-delivery costs

The quality of a profit dashboard depends heavily on the accuracy of these inputs.

How the process works

I keep the process structured and manageable:

  1. Review the current setup
I inspect the agreed tracking, analytics and advertising connections to understand how data is currently being collected.

  2. Check important events
I review relevant customer actions, such as product views, add-to-cart activity, checkout activity and completed purchases.

  3. Find tracking problems
I look for missing events, duplicated events, incorrect connections or reporting gaps that may affect your decisions.

  4. Complete the agreed setup
I configure or improve the suitable tracking connections included in the service scope.

  5. Organize the profit inputs
I use the cost information you provide to prepare the agreed profit calculations and reporting structure.

  6. Build the dashboard
I organize the most useful information into a clearer dashboard so that you can review performance without moving between too many platforms.

  7. Test and summarize the work
I check the agreed setup and provide a summary of what was connected, changed or prepared.

How long does it take?

A normal Shopify Tracking + Profit Dashboard project may take approximately 15–25 working days after I have received the required access and complete cost information.

It may take longer when:

  • Existing tracking is duplicated or incorrectly installed

  • Several advertising platforms must be reviewed

  • Cost information is missing or inconsistent

  • A third-party developer or application provider is involved

  • Access invitations or approvals are delayed

  • Additional testing is required

The timeline begins when I have the information and access needed to start properly. If I send a question in the morning and receive the answer late at night, I may only be able to review it on the following working day. Delayed replies can therefore move the delivery date.

I do not rush tracking work because small mistakes can create misleading reports.

What will you receive?

Depending on the agreed scope, you may receive:

  • Connected or improved tracking systems

  • A clearer profit and performance dashboard

  • Agreed customer and purchase events

  • Organized cost and reporting inputs

  • A testing and completion summary

  • Guidance on maintaining important information

The dashboard provides an estimated business view based on the data supplied. It is not audited financial reporting and does not replace an accountant or bookkeeping system.

Advertising platforms may also report different numbers because they use different attribution methods. My goal is to make the setup clearer and more useful—not to promise that every platform will display identical results.

Throughout the project, you can communicate with me directly on WhatsApp. It is a one-to-one service, and I take the necessary time to understand the data before completing the work.
